Registration requires the following information to be provided: • Surname and first name • Email address After registration, users can create a profile to which they can add further voluntary information. The information provided by the user on registration and in his profile is fundamentally visible to third parties. Specific data can be marked by the user as “private”. This currently relates to the following data:- Date of birth

If a user deletes or amends information in his profile or deletes his entire profile, then this data is completely deleted by myON-ID. However, it may be possible that this data can still be found and viewed through third-party services, e.g. Google or other search engines. This is possible if, for example, these third party services have cached myON-ID pages or these pages are accessed via the cache.

Cookies
myON-ID uses what are known as cookies. These are small text files that the myON-ID website sends to the user’s browser and stores on their PC in order to save it as an anonymous ID. The purpose of these cookies is, for example, to identify a user as authorised throughout his session on the myON-ID website. Without this interim “caching”, some applications would require the same information to be entered more than once. A cookie only contains the data issued by a server and/or entered by the user on request (e.g. connection: information on domain, path, expiry date, cookie name and value). They therefore contain purely technical data, no personal information. A cookie cannot spy on a hard drive. If a user wishes, the web browser can be set to refuse to save cookies, either generally or on an individual basis. However, if cookies are not accepted, this can mean that some pages and functions do not display properly.
Sending advertising
myON-ID is authorised to send the user information and advertising at the e-mail addresses he has specified. The user’s personal data will not be passed on to third parties. The user also has the right to object to myON-ID sending information of an advertising nature at any time; this objection must be in written or electronic form.
Passing personal information on to third parties
myON-ID shall only pass users’ personal data on to third parties or transfer such data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the contract or billing purposes or you have given your explicit consent (opt-in).
Users have the right to revoke this consent at any time; the revocation cannot have retrospective effect. This shall not affect myON-ID’s right to pass on personal data to authorised bodies, providing this is required by law.
